College Planning Resources

The School Counseling department officially begins the college planning process in the winter of a student's junior year through the use of classroom-based presentations and seminars. These presentations will continue throughout the fall of their senior year. 


Mansfield High School utilizes Scoir for post-secondary planning research and career exploration during the students 9th-11th grade years. This information is presented through the use of classroom-based presentations and seminars.

During 12th grade, students use this platform to request all school-based materials  (such as transcripts) for college.  Counselors continue to explore post-secondary options with students through the use of classroom sessions, assemblies, and one-on-one sessions.

SCOIR

Scoir is a customized, secure website that supports post-secondary, college, and career planning. This engaging online resource allows students the ability to research colleges, view statistical and historical MHS data on previous application results, build a resume, engage in career aptitude brain games, and much more. SCOIR is offered as a complement to the series of individual and group meetings that are available to students and families in partnership with the school counselors.
